Moments worth keeping

The idea you had walking the dog.
The doctor’s advice about your knee.
Yesterday’s 1:1 — the bit you almost forgot.
The call with your mom last October.
The breakthrough moment in therapy.
The cofounder argument you should remember.

Every conversation you have becomes something you can search, summarize, and ask questions about.

Why Recordd

Your life happens in conversation.

Somewhere, those conversations should be kept.

The forgotten idea

You'll never remember the best thing you said today.

The idea on the walk. The phrase your friend landed perfectly. The thing the doctor told you to do. Your memory isn't built to keep them — but they're the moments you'd give anything to have back.

The note-taker tax

You can't be present and write it down.

Every time you look at your phone to take notes, you miss the room. Recordd runs in the background so you're fully there — and the searchable transcript shows up when you need it.

Voice Memos gave up

Press record, lose it forever.

Native recorders capture audio and nothing else. No transcripts, no search, no context — just a list of files named "New Recording 47." Who was it with? Where were you? What did they say? Good luck. You end up with hundreds of recordings you'll never open again, because opening them means relistening to find out what they were.

How it works

Three steps. Roughly ten seconds of your attention.

01

Press record.

One tap on iPhone, one keystroke from the Mac menu bar. Recording keeps going with your phone locked, your Mac backgrounded, even during phone calls. No bot, no installs on anyone else's side.

02

All the context.

Every recording arrives with location, timestamp, participants, and speaker labels captured automatically. Nothing to tag. Nothing to file.

03

The library you're not building yet.

Every recording is a piece your future assistant will need. In the AI world coming, the people who started recording early will have context nobody else can buy. Start now — the library compounds while you sleep.

Vs. the alternatives

Not just another meeting tool.

Otter, Fathom, and Granola record meetings you schedule. Recordd records your whole life.

Recordd does meetings. It also does everything else.

Everything you need

Built to make every conversation useful again.

Record. Transcribe. Ask it anything. Find it later.

For every conversation

Built for the moments nobody else is recording.

Meeting tools record your calendar. Recordd records your life. The walk-and-talks, the kitchen debates, the doctor's advice, the spontaneous phone call that turned into the idea. The conversations that matter most almost never show up on a Zoom invite.

Ask anything

Chat with any recording like it's a friend.

"What did the doctor say about my knee?" "What did we agree on in last week's 1:1?" Ask. Get an answer. Jump straight to the moment it was said. Every recording gets an AI summary and title the moment it lands.

Context, automatically

Who, where, when — captured for you.

Every recording arrives with structure already attached: the place you were, the time it happened, who spoke when (identified by voice), and the participants pulled from the transcript itself. Want to add more? Speak a sentence — "coffee with Sarah about the Tokyo trip" — and we'll parse the rest.

A note from the founder

A place for all the conversations I’d love to keep as well as the ones I need to.

I sold my last app Speedcheck — over 50M downloads — at the end of 2025.

And came back to a problem I’ve had since college.

I’ve used different tools over the years to record the ones that mattered. But they always ended up scattered — different folders, different phones, different computers, different formats. I want them all in one place, getting the treatment they deserve: transcribed, organized, fully searchable. And now I can feed them to AI and have conversations about those conversations. Brilliant.

I have kids now. My parents are getting older. And I keep noticing something strange — we take photos of everything (birthdays, meals, sunsets), but the actual conversations that shape our lives vanish the moment they end. And those are often the ones you’d give anything to have back.

That’s why I built Recordd — the app I wish I’d had in my dorm room in 2004. I spend ten hours a day in front of a Mac and the rest of it with my phone in my pocket, so Recordd is always a tap away. Now, every conversation worth keeping, kept.
